Welcome to new Head Chef David Morris
In the meantime, we are busy getting ready for your arrival with the start of some exciting plans and development programmes for the Hotel, commencing with the creation of a fabulous new casual dining restaurant. New Head Chef David Morris is working on some delicious new menus ready for our Spring opening and the new dining offer.
Our new Head Chef David Morris joined the team at The Royal literally as lockdown was announced, and is keen to take up the reigns and get back in the kitchen. With over 35 years cooking experience, he has travelled the globe, and David loves nothing more than bringing the tastes and flavours of his travels to the dishes he creates. He spent several years heading up Cordon Bleu’s Malaysian operations and oversaw a five-star spa resort in the Maldives. David; who is a keen forager, will use locally sourced ingredients as he prepares some exciting, delicious new menus ready for our Spring opening. During Lockdown David operated Taste at The Royal – an east meets west takeaway menu, with some fabulous fusion style dishes alongside our classic firm favourites.
